Read and review chapter 12 in the e-textbook and PowerPoint slides. Research, including web and/or printed material on special populations served by the police.
* Describe the three major groups in society for who the police must provide specialized services (elderly, youth and disabled).
* What are some of the specialized services provided by police to meet the needs of these populations.
* Provide at least one example of a service or program from your local area police department that meets the needs of a special population. Is it effective? Why or why not?

In a two page essay summarize your research on special populations. Cite your resources appropriately. The format may be MLA or APA.
