My Research Topic: This study aims to understand the transformational experiences of women within the process of reintegration after incarceration. T his study will investigate the major changes or shifts in the thought and behavior patterns of women while reintegrating back into the community after incarceration.

(Info you can use in this paragraph) As individuals with felony histories return to society, one of the biggest challenges is successfully reintegrating them into society and helping them establish conventional lifestyles (Please site this).

(Info you can use in this paragraph) As these women transition from prison/jail back into their prospective communities, they experience difficulty accessing community resources to help bridge the gap from incarceration to productive citizens (Li, 2018). These difficulties may include: (1) finding affordable housing, (2) gaining employment, (3) assess to programs, (4) treatment, (5) family support, and (6) completing community-controlled sanctions (Cobbina & Bender, 2012).

(Info you can use in this paragraph) As men and women are released from prison/jail having a support system in place is critical for a successful reintegration (Davis, Bahr. & Ward, 2013). These support systems would help them feel more connected to their community (Fortune & Arai, 2014).
(Info you can use in this paragraph)  Receiving natural support from family, friends and professional services is found to be critical for successful reintegration (Davis, Bahr, & Ward, 2013).
(Info you can use in this paragraph) Adam and colleagues suggest Having a criminal record can hinder ones ability to gain stable employment (Adams, Chen, & Chapman, 2016 p. 2). Previous research has proved that there are benefits in allowing formally incarcerated individuals to re-enter the employment sector. Shelupanov and Ali (2010) argue that employment reduces the chances of becoming a re-offender by a third to a half.

(use in this paragraph)  By understanding the transformational experiences of these women, it may be possible to identify aspects of the experience that facilitate success as well as previously overlooked obstacles to successful reintegration by investigating the major changes or shifts in the thought and behavior patterns of women while reintegrating back into the community after incarceration.
