Observing an adolescent: If you already have frequent opportunities to interact with an adolescent, what do you notice about their interests, concerns, opportunities, and/or goals? (Your frequent opportunities may be because youre a parent, teacher, older sibling, mentor, family friend, or work in some capacity where you frequently observe or interact with an adolescent.) You might want to discuss in detail some of the following: What do you notice about how they communicate w/ friends and/or with peers (in face-to-face interaction and/or through texting and online)? What do you notice about their communication with family members and/or other adults? Your initiated thread should be a three-paragraph portrait of the individual (make sure to use a pseudonym).
