Respond to the following 2 reviews of 100 or more words on (A looming question is passengers or freight. We have seen many of the modes share freight and passengers without difficulties and yet others that separate the two. Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of both philosophies.) Responses should be a minimum of 100 words and include direct questions.

1. When it comes to moving things from one point to another, companies will always try to save some money. One of the best ways to save some money is to ship your freight goods with passengers. This will save a lot of money, because companies are not buying a dedicated mode of transportation. Another advantage is the fact that companies are putting less pollution in the air. The reason there will be less pollution is the fact there will be less vehicles on the road. This will cause people in the community less heath problems.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages with passengers traveling on freight transportation. One of the disadvantages is the fact passengers travel will be slowed down if the products on the freight transportation must go to different locations. Passengers will be forced to stop at multiple locations. This will really upset a lot of passengers. Another disadvantage is that some of the stuff on freight transportation may not be safe for humans. It is never a good idea to harm human just to save money. Leaders within a company must ensure the products that is going on freight transportation is safe to ride along with customers.
There are some good advantages and there are some disadvantages when it comes to passengers riding along with freight transportation. The goal is to ensure the products arrive at the correct location and everyone arrive safe. Management must manage the integration of passengers and freight if they want to have success with this movement.

2.    At first glance, I immediately was in favor of transporting freight with passengers due to my past experiences.  In my last unit, we consistently practiced deploying to a field environment to exercise our combat mission.  I served in a logistics section, and when it was time to decide which vehicle to take, we usually planned to utilize a vehicle that served a multi-purpose function.
Sometimes we tasked to move our Soldiers with the LMTV (Light Medium Tactical Vehicle), and other times we were tasked to moved personal gear and office supplies.  I believed the LMTV was the best vehicle to bring to the field because the Soldiers were able to travel in the same vehicle with their gear. According to Jean-Paul Rodrigue the main difference between passengers and freight transportation is the ability of action.
If our LMTV broke down for a maintenance issue, the Soldiers riding in the back of the vehicle was able to get out of the vehicle, and another vehicle to use or forced to walk to the next destination.  The Soldiers (passengers) were able to disembark and or transfer to another mode of transportation without any assistance (Rodrigue, 2020, ch 1). On the other hand, if the same LMTV was loaded with nothing but the Soldiers gear and equipment, the driver would need to make accommodations to have the load transferred and or temporally stored until it was able to be delivered (Rodrigue, 2020, ch 1).
This example is also seen in the civilian sector.  If a person at an airport was about to fly somewhere and the terminal gate was changed at the last minute, the passenger has the ability to decide whether to rush to the next terminal, take another flight,  or cancel the trip and travel another mode.  The advantage for the passengers is that they are able to operate as there own independent logistics managers, whereas if a suitcase was left at a gate, it would remain at the gate until someone is told to move it.  The disadvantage of freight cargo is that it is logistics-intensive, and requires detailed planning from start to finish.
