To reach higher grading, integrate the impact on the organizational mission, vision, and goals using scholarly works. Consider the culture of safety, retention, morale, etc. from the literature. You want to support your assertions based on professional standards of practice and best practices that are conducive to improved outcomes.

I do not see that you added this – consider the IOM culture of safety, the effects of poor communication, incivility, and TJC with regards to patient safety and outcomes.

2. Develop an action plan to improve leader performance.

The action plan has to be more specific to be measurable. For instance, how would you evaluate the limited amount of time on the telephone for personal reasons, answer emails promptly (who defines promptly), etc? When you state the leader will have “right resource management strategies” you need to identify these and support with the literature. The improvement plan goals must be very specific to be measurable – in SMART format Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. For instance, Jackie will be on time and attend all unit meetings in the next quarter.

Please look online for an example of a performance improvement plan and ask your tutor for assistance. This can be attached as a separate document or integrated into the assessment. It is important as a future nurse leader that you can formulate an action plan.
