artwork, architecture or design you choose should be something you would see in a major gallery/museum or Art history text. They can be any medium from any time period but should be related in some way (formal qualities, concept, content, etc). You should collect all the data that you can, regarding these two works such as title, date, medium, artist, etc

Use the essay writing workshop listed in the module as a guide on how to begin the compare and contrast process.

Once you have gathered as much information as possible about the works, researching outside of the textbook, narrow your information down to the 5 most relevant pieces of information for each. Compare and contrast these and brainstorm on how they relate to one another. Finally, propose an essay question as you would see on a test that would prompt an informed response. This process will mirror what we did as a class exercise on Thursday October, and will provide framework for a focused essay with a clear thesis, body and conclusion.
