Guide line for bird-nest project report.

Your report should be written by yourself.

The report should be typed, and consist of Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References;

No more than 5 pages long, 1.5 or double space, MLA or APA style accepted.

No need to show Chi Square calculation.

You should incorporate your results in your discussion.

The report is due by April 26th. Reports turned in late will not be graded.

Introduce your topic.

Provide background or summarize existing research.

Establish your research problem or explain why your research is important.

Specify your Objective(s)

State your hypothesis.

Describe the research protocol

explain how measurements were made

and what calculations were performed, and state which statistical tests were done to analyze the data.

NOTE: for this report, no need to list all materials

Results

Data are information that you collected from your research

Results are text presenting the meaning of your research data

NOTE: for this report, no need to show Chi square calculation

Discussion

Report the finding of your study

Tie back results to Introduction

Interpretations: what do the results mean?

Implications: why do the results matter?

Acknowledge the limitations

How might the study be improved for future research?

Bibliography vs Works Cited vs References

Bibliography: lists all materials you have consulted, cited or not

Works Cited: lists all materials that you have quoted or paraphrased

References: similar to a Works Cited list, a term used when citing sources in APA format.

Note: For the report, at least 3 references related to your project
