Black Sociology seeks to challenge racism, injustice, and oppression in all its forms in addition to finding solutions for needs within the black community for express purpose of empowerment towards racial and social justice. With that said, the concept of time is of ultra-importance as we often think of it as an objective unit of measurement associated with mundane the time of the day or the amount of tome it will take to accomplish certain task. We have explored how time has been used by western civilization as a source of energy by which racially charged exploitative practices are made logical. History is very important to the development of sociological imagination. In 3-4 pages reflect on the readings covered and discuss the importance of looking at every human problem on the standpoint of time.
