In the Arnett reading, the author discusses two kinds of psychologies. One that claims universal human experiences and another that claims the need for context-specific understandings of the human experience. Go to p. 609 and read the “Psychologys Search for Human Universals” section. Discuss these two kinds of psychologies and explain how you think they should be used and should not be used to understand human experience. Do you find one more convincing than the other? If yes why, if no, why not?
