Ethical Concerns in Use of Electronic Medical Records
Assignment Guidelines
    Characterize the human-technology interface.
    Summarize and critique the content
    Discuss current efforts to mediate those concerns, including educating the public.
The paper will contain four parts:
1.    Summary of the ethical concerns found in the 4 articles in your own words. Do not include quotations or citations in your summary (1 -1 pages)
2.    Critique the articles (for example, what is the strength of the evidence, is it supported by the literature, how clearly was the article written, what more could be said, what was clearly explained, etc.? (1 -1 pages)
3.    Explore current practice in your work setting discretely in relation to the summary of ethical concerns you have found in this project (1 – 2 pages)
4.    Reflection (what lessons did you learn that will guide you in your career?) ( – 1 page)
Launching articles are provided to support your current research in the project. Review the articles below as a guide to assist your work in this assignment:
    Westrick, S. (2014). Nursing Students’ Use of Electronic and Social Media: Law, Ethics, and E-Professionalism.
    Meejung, A., Choi, M., Young, K. (2016).Factors Associated With the Timeliness of Electronic Nursing Documentation. Healthcare Informatics Research, 22 (4).
    *Please note that the above articles must be used; if this is not done the paper will not be accepted for grading.
In addition, search the R. A. Williams Library for two supporting nursing articles of interest that relate to this topic and the purpose. The articles must come from peer-reviewed nursing journals published within the past five years. If you are in clinical practice, choose articles that apply to your practice.
Keep in mind the assignment standards below:
    Paper should include an APA-formatted cover page
    Required citations or references. Include the database (Ebscohost, Proquest, Ovid, etc.) from which the articles were retrieved. All writing convention will be evaluated (spelling, grammar, syntax, etc.).
    Articles must be written by nurses within the last five years obtained from the R. A. Williams Library. Failure to meet either of these criteria will result in a grade of zero for the assignment.
