Writing must be SHOWING how the event has impacted my life, it must NOT be TELLING. (search for techniques to help you, you can google showing vs telling in writing).
Try using simple wording as much as you can throughout the essay.
There are 2 options below for personal events that I can write about. Tell me which one of them is easier for you to write up 1500 words about, and I will send you the story from my point of view. All you need to do is write it in a SHOWING way, and feel free to make up things and add them to it to make it more interesting.
