Assume you have been asked by the chief administrator of your school district to prepare a recommendation to a governing board for an IEP (individualized education plan) policy that involves the school transportation department. In other words, try to convince the board that the school transportation department should be involved in a students IEP process. Your recommendation should be in the form of a memorandum that includes the topics listed below.
-Introductory statement
-Summary of applicable law (with appropriate legal citation)
-Advantages of having the school transportation’s input in IEP determinations
-A proposed procedure in either narrative or flow-chart form.
-A concluding statement.
The proposed solution must be realistic and practical. This is not an APA paper but sources should be listed on resources page . It is a case-study-type memorandum simulation.
