Final Project :  Practice Management Response to a Pandemic
Students will create an operational and strategic response to a public health emergency and reopening plan post crisis as it relates to practice management and describe all of the related impact.

Students will create an operational and strategic response to a public health emergency and reopening plan post crisis as it relates to practice management and describe all of the related impact.

Project should be a minimum of 5 pages in length and include 3-5 journal or peer reviewed articles.
Consider the current public health emergency we are facing, COVID-19, how has medical practices been affected?  In your project, create a operational/strategic plan as the Administrator/Leader of the Medical Practice regarding how your practice addresses the pandemic and include the steps and plan for reopening or re-mobilizing services or next steps post pandemic.  Other public health emergencies that can be referenced but not limited to are SARS, EBOLA, The Plague, The Flu, Polio, etc.  Other emergencies to consider are 9/11, earthquakes, Hurricane Sandy, etc.  Discuss the financial impact (revenue, expense), workforce impact, productivity, space/infrastructure, templating, scheduling, cleaning, spacing, timing, billing, telehealth, technology, equipment, policies/procedures, payers/insurances/reimbursement/coverage, infection control, brand reputation, marketing, public trust, organizational culture, federal/state/city/local coordination and guidelines, etc.  How does a practice go from pre-crisis, during the crisis, and post crisis towards the new normal, and what does the new normal look like.
